Jean Ong MakeUp Workshop

Makeup has been one of my obsessions lately, not that I cannot go out of our house without makeup. I just want to learn the proper way of putting makeup on my face, and of course, I want to know the basic tips and tricks in makeup. Also, I sell makeup, so I must know the proper application techniques.

When Jean Ong organized a makeup workshop here in Davao, I was ecstatic! It would be my first make-up workshop and I was so excited.

Day 1: Day to Night Look

This is the day that I discovered Graftobian cosmetics. I really really like their Warm Palette because it has all the shades perfect for my skin tone. Unfortunately, Graftobian is only available in Manila (but I'm pretty sure they ship outside Manila). I used Graftobian foundations for the looks above.

The day look (first photo) was taken under natural light.  I actually did not have much make up for that look except that I darkened/defined my eyes a bit. I also learned how to correct my under eye imperfections on that day. Notice how my under eye area has brightened. I used an orange color corrector, also from Graftobian, and mixed it up with the foundation. Orange neutralized my blue under eye circles.

For the night look (2nd and 3rd photo), I was gearing for the smokey look. I mostly used my 4U2 Gemtone eyeshadow palette for this look. The palette has 4 shades: 1 green, 2 shades of blue, and 1 grey. I used the blue and grey shades to achieve that look.

Day 2: Avante Garde!

Day 2 was actually a fun day for all of us. We tried avant garde makeup, which I consider as easier because there are no strict rules to achieve to look you want. However, conceptualizing on the look is a little tricky. I had peacock and leopard prints as my inspirations and I achieved these two looks:

For my Day 2 looks, I used the foundation shades that I currently have on my make up stash: Ellana Minerals and Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals. Also, to achieve those little details for my leopard spots, I bought this Gold brush set from Studio Box Cosmetics. The bright blue, orange and yellow colors were achieved by using and mixing War Paints, also from Studio Box Cosmetics. I also used gold glitters for my peacock look.

Joining a Makeup Workshop is so fun and I wouldn't mind enrolling myself again if there ever comes another makeup workshop in Davao City.
