Happa Massage and Spa

Happa means "leaf" in Japanese. This word  is appropriate with Happa Massage and Spa because  they offer the traditional Pinoy hilot which incorporates tuba-tuba (Jatropha). The Pinoy hilot is by appointment only.

Happa Massage and Spa has recently transferred at No. 202, Diamond Building, Matina, Davao City last September 8, 2012. If you're a regular Happa client, fret not because the new location is just across the street from their old site.

You can choose between their 10 massage oils: Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Sweet Orange, Grapefruit, Green Tea, Moringa, Sweet Olive, Chamomile, Lavender, and Olive Oil. You can have these oil heated if you like. Among the scented oils, Grapefruit and Moringa are my favorite!

The new Happa Massage and Spa has a bigger space with 7 beds and 4 relaxing recliners for foot spa. It has a Japanese-inspired setting with dim lights and very relaxing music.

A lot of innovations and firsts are implemented at Happa Massage and Spa. One thing that really got my attention is the locker under your own massage bed. It can hold your bags, cellphones, and other important belongings and can be secured with a lock. Plus, it's located just underneath your bed so you don't have to walk far just to get something. It has security and convenience in one.

The recliners for those who want to avail of their foot spa are very relaxing as well. You can request to put the curtains down if you want some privacy. Just lounging on these recliners can really lull me to sleep.

As mentioned, there are 7 massage beds. These are evenly spaced with a lot of room for your therapist to go around the bed. Of course, when there are clients, these curtains are put down for privacy. I actually like that  colored and thick curtains offer more privacy than white curtains. Also, when down, these curtains are further secured with clips so you're sure that they won't get blown by the breeze.

Another extra treat that I experienced at Happa Massage and Spa is the kind of tea that they serve: it's a natural tea made from Ginger and Lemon Grass. Most massage and spa joints here in Davao serve instant teas. At Happa, you can enjoy this sweet, delicious, and relaxing natural tea that is unlike any that you've tasted before. I actually had 3 cups of this tea, it's delicious!

On my next post, I will talk about Happa's spa services, particularly the Happa Sea Salt Glow Body Scrub and other services. Stay tuned!

  3. Sometimes we meet with a massage therapist to get rid of our pain like back pain. A massage recliner can help you to relief the pain. You can buy a recliner for soothing the back pain.
