I remember way back in high school when I first attended a prom, I was wearing a gold knee-length dress while my girl friends were wearing elegant long prom dresses. I attended a total of 4 promenades and my junior high school prom was the only time that I got to wear a short prom dress.
Above, you can see a lot of long prom dresses that I picked from Persunmall.com.au. And as you have noticed, I have chosen long gowns. I prefer long gowns because they are very friendly when it comes to women with bigger frames. I am not petite and I have noticed that wearing a long dress coupled with high heels would really elongate a woman's body.
Long dresses, specially black, also slims down the figure. If you have a bigger bottom or pear-shaped, you can choose the black dresses I picked above: they have glamorous details at the bust area and will definitely get the attention away from your hips.
Of course, nothing beats a red gown. Wear a long red gown to prom and you can own the stage, even declare "prom queen" in your own right. Just remember that the color red is already a statement of its own so you don't really need elaborate accessories. The first red dress has a really simple cut but it has a train that looks really playful and youthful, while maintaining its elegance. The second red dress, on the other hand, has very beautiful beaded details and bow which really add sophistication to the dress.
You won't go wrong with pink. You will definitely see a sea of different shades of pink during high school prom. But what will make you stand out from the crowd? A hot pink gown! With the sharpness of its shade, you can keep the cut and style of your pink gown as simple, and use accessories at a minimum.
Long dresses for prom will make you feel Epic!! When you choose the right fashion jewelries which will make your look perfect then prom night of your life will be epic as the one Cinderella had!!
