The first time I went to Lay Bare was in SM Manila and I was just curious about cold waxing procedures. I've had my share of being burned with a hot wax, not to mention the mess that it left on my bed sheets and clothes. I've also had a bad experience doing my own waxing using the over-the-counter wax strips you see in malls.
Lay Bare uses cold wax made from honey. When I had my first underarm waxing treatment with Mari, the Lay Bare attendant, I was nervous because 1) I'm ashamed at showing my underarms to other people and 2) the procedure might hurt. But alas, the point of no return has came and I was lying on the yellow green bed, which happens to be my favorite color at that time and Mari gave me a brief orientation about the procedure. She said that it might hurt, depending on my tolerance for pain. I had enough courage at that time and my underarms were hair-free in less than 15 minutes.
Leaving Manila and coming home to Davao meant that I will have to do my own hair grooming and I missed Lay Bare so much that it prompted me to make my own sugar-honey wax inspired by what Lay Bare was using. I've never found a waxing salon as good as Lay Bare and I haven't been to a salon here in Davao which uses cold wax. Maybe there are other salons, but it's always good to go to where you're comfortable with.
Two years after I went home, Lay Bare has finally reached Davao City and I'm so happy that my underarms can be hair-free again with my favorite waxing salon. I'm glad that their prices are still the same as two years back. For a list of their prices, see below:
Lay Bare is located at the Lower Ground Floor of SM Lanang Premier.

Their prices are quite affordable. This is a good bonding place for your group of friends.
ReplyDeleteI never tried lay bare pa... siguro kasi I am afraid with wax... lol... good thing they have in Davao na...
ReplyDeleteThat's good news for sure. A lot of great amenities have been flocking Davao city lately and it's a good sign for fast urbanizing economic center.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried waxing. (I'm so outdated, haha!) I'm curious... Does it really take a longer time for the hair to grow back?
ReplyDeletePrices are good. Thank you Lay Bare for choosing Davao. Kudos to you.
ReplyDeleteI remember they once had a promo that had 50% off for guys... Let's keep that under wraps :)
ReplyDeleteI think their rates are reasonable. Some waxing places charges over 1,000.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Lay Bare for establishing one branch at Davao.
ReplyDeleteIt seems Lay Bare is having branch expansions, they also have a newly opened branch here in Laguna. Hopefully, I wanted to pay them a visit too and try out their services.

ReplyDeleteI haven't tried their services though I always passed by their branch at a mall. I'm afraid waxing is painful.
ReplyDeleteThis is cool to post - great services and of course affordable in price. I might get to Davao anytime - or soon. Just finishing my work loads here in Manila and I may visit the place. :)
ReplyDeletecongrats! now you can have your waxing procedure by your trusted salon :)
ReplyDeleteLay bare huh? They don't look pricey at all. Mai-try nga po. Thankies!
ReplyDeleteSUGARING is much better than waxing. It's less painful, less breakage, less ingrown hair. :)
